MSU Sponsored sessions that can be attended by all. You may also attend this class for advanced certification credits. If you are working towards your ACCA you will need to attend all three (3) sessions. Through individual activities, students will have ample opportunity to apply the principles of caseflow Management to their own jurisdiction. Each student will have an opportunity to review his or her own court's case processing system and develop an improvement plan.. Student's will examine how the justice system's environment impacts the court and how the court's activities influence other parts of the justice system environment. The students will examine the relationship between Caseflow Management and the fundamental purposes of courts and will review the elements of Caseflow Management with emphasis on meaningful events, development and use of time guidelines, alternative methods for assigning cases to judicial officers, differentiated case management and the many psychological factors that are part of the caseflow process.

Bring any forms you use and look at other forms used in different courts. Do you know how to access the Judicial Forms the Judge's association developed? Attend this session to help answer your questions or just “vent" a little with our panel. If your court has" problem" area then chances are one of the panel member has also had the same problem, so come discuss your issues and we will help resolve them with you.

You hear about it every night, read about it in the newspaper every day – another murder, another rape, another home invasion or carjacking-random acts of violence. It probably won't happen to you, your family or even in your neighborhood, right? That is exactly what most victims thought before it happened to them and it is indicative of the common level of complacency and lack of awareness into which we sometimes slip. Don't let it happen to you!

Take a proactive stance against crime and attend this session!!

An overview of the model Municipal Court Operating Rule1 will provide some insightful information on how the rule can be successfully implemented and followed within the municipal divisions. An OSCA Court Specialist will act as moderator along with an OSCA CPA. We will have a court panel- members from different regions presenting their ideas, problems and solutions in addressing the ten sections of COR 1.

We're going back to the basics…come join us from the creation of the traffic ticket to completion. Everyone has a different process but the end result should be the same. Come see if you can improve your process or get a wonderful idea from another court.

Do you know your court's rights when it comes to forfeiting a bond? Do you follow proper procedure for collecting forfeitures from a bond company? Do you understand the "No d/b/a/-marketing name" rule? Do you know when you can remove a bond company from your city's qualification listing? If not, you need attend this session. You may have more control than you think.

3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. SURVIVAL SPANISH

Attend this fun filled session. Learn the basics of Spanish related to court issues. Do you have court forms printed in Spanish? Come and pick up Waiver of Counsel, Rights in Traffic Court and Probation forms in Spanish. Learn why the court dates are sometimes confusing to Spanish speaking defendants.
